1. BLUE COLLAR
Great opening track for Avalon…I love the instrumental sections, especially the drum performance…Hugo's vocal is very believable!
2. IS HE BETTER THAN ME
This song has always been one of my favorite songs…Joe Lynn Turner's vocal is perfect! P.S…..I'm proud of my guitar playing on this one…especially the ending!
3. NIGHTMARE
I'm really happy that Eddie Money agreed that this song was perfect for him to sing on AVALON!
4. OH SAMANTHA
My favorite track on the CD !…I wrote it for my daughter (it's the only track I wrote myself alone)… From the first time I heard Joseph Williams sing, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" in THE LION KING…I always heard him singing OH SAMANTHA…I can't tell you how happy I am that he agreed to sing it on this CD!
5. AVALON
Danny Vaughn and I just clicked on this song…it was one of the first songs selected for this CD….and so important to the project, that I decided to call the project AVALON, The Richie Zito Project!
6. LIFE GOT IN THE WAY
One of my favorite lyrics on AVALON…One of the first songs written for the album…I'm proud of this one!
7. FOREVER I WILL
I love Richie Kotzen's Vocal on this track… He's known primarily as a guitar virtuoso… I thought it would be cool if he sang on AVALON… He's one of my favorite R&B Singers!
8. I CAN'T FORGET YOU
This was a song started by Philip Bardowell…and I had a vision for how I thought it should be arranged/produced to be appropriate for AVALON…Philip gave me a free hand and here is the result!
9. I PUT MY LIFE IN YOUR HANDS
When I told Eddie Money that I was going to make a Record, he played me "I Put My Life in Your Hands"…When I heard it, I knew it would be perfect for AVALON!
10. GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME
Philip Bardowell was the person who started Serafino and I thinking about me making a record in the first place…the result…AVALON…so it was a pleasure collaborating with him on this song!
11. I DON'T WANT TO WANT YOU
This was one of the first songs chosen for AVALON….. Eric Martin, as always, delivers an incredible vocal performance on this track!
12. BLUE MONDAY
I asked my good friend and Mentor, Giorgio Moroder to be involved in my CD, the result is BLUE MONDAY… a song written by Giorgio and Keith Forsey….with a classic "Giorgio Moroder" synthesizer arrangement!
